Description

The meeting will focus on data gathering related to Recreation, Land Use, Aesthetics and Socioeconomic.  At the April 15 meeting, we agreed to have a short review of the Special-Status Plants Study Proposal at July 14 meeting, but the forest Service suggested and Licensee agreed to delaying that to discuss all th ebotanical studies at another meetign to be scheduled.  Also at the July 14 meeting, we iwll have report from Relicensing Participants regarding their process caucus held at the end of the June 9 meeting, and genrally discuss process.  To help facilitate the meeting, Licensee has posted to the Relicensing Website the following “straw man” study proposals: 1) Recreation Use and Visitor Surveys; 2) Whitewater Boating; 3) Primary Project Roads and Trails; and 4) Visual Quality.  As always, Licensee has provided its "straw man" study proposals to facilitate discussion, not constrain discussion or preclude suggestions regarding additional study proposals related to the resources areas being discussed at the meeting.  Licensee encourages Relicensing Participants to redline Licensee’s study proposals prior to the meeting, and provide them to Licensee and other Relicensing Participants.  Also, while two days may be scheduled for discussion of the above resource areas, meeting participants at their discretion may complete the discussion in the first day and cancel the second day.  So, interested parties are encouraged to attend the first day in a two-day meeting sequence.
